Directeur Maarten Meun: ''Iemand die drie examenklassen in de steek laat om een BN'er te worden, is niet netjes. Ook strookt het programma niet met de christelijke identiteit van de school.'' Volgens hem heeft de 24-jarige juf het nooit over deelname aan het Talpa programma gehad. ''Ze nam per direct ontslag, maar ik hield haar aan de drie maanden opzegtermijn. Ze vertrok echter al na veertien dagen. Zo gaan mensen niet met elkaar om.''
Eveline Klaassen maakt overigens een hele grote kans om winnaar te worden van De Gouden Kooi; Ze heeft het meer dan drie jaar lang uitgehouden in Urk als schooljuf, dus een paar maanden in de Gouden Kooi moet dan ook wel lukken.
